  HUP-1 Board.jpg - The HUP-1 Retriever was a tandem rotor, single engine rescue and utility helicopter built by Piasecki Helicopter Corporation. Production started in 1948 and entered into service with the U.S. Navy and Marines in 1949. In 1951 the U.S. Air Force ordered the helicopter on behalf of the U.S. Army. A total of 339 HUP-1/2/3/4/H-25 were built and saw service with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Royal Canadian Navy and the French Navy. Line shut down in 1954 and last HUP saw service with the French Navy to 1965.
